An Alaskan cruise is the dream vacation for many people. A cruise through the Inside Passage in Alaska takes you to rustic small towns, to the great glaciers, and gives you an opportunity to explore this spectacular natural setting. Go fishing! Fly over the great mountains and glaciers! Hike and explore the wilderness around you. See Alaska for yourself!
The Touring Club is offering two variations of Alaska cruises for 2010: an 12-day Princess Cruises Alaska Cruisetour or a 7-day Inside Passage cruise on Royal Caribbean.
Princess Cruisetour on the Island Princess
August 10 - August 23
Our Princess Cruisetour begins in exciting Vancouver BC, site of the recent Winter Olympics. Your package includes a night at the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver. The following morning you will be escorted to a flight to Anchorage, where you'll have time to explore the city.
Following a night at the Hotel Captain Cook, you will be taken by motorcoach and train to Talkeetna, a charming native village, and from there to McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge at the base of Mount McKinley. You'll have two days and nights here to enjoy the mountain wilderness of your surroundings.
Your next stop will be Denali National Park and Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. You'll have two more days here to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. On the second day you'll be treated to an included Natural History Tour of the Denali park. You will depart Denali on Princess' famous glass-top train, going non-stop to the ship docked in Whittier.
Now your 7-day cruise south through the Inside Passage begins. First stop: Hubbard Glacier. Second stop: a day cruise in Glacier Bay.
On the third
day you'll enjoy a very full day at Skagway. Perhaps you'll want to arrange a
flight over the Alaska wilderness or a day of fishing or hiking. During
the next two days your ship will call at Juneau, the only U.S. state capitol
that can't be reached by road, and finally at Ketchikan.
Finally, nearly two weeks into your journey, your ship will arrive in Vancouver, where your fun began.
We have reservations for all types of staterooms available for a short time. Fares range from $2514 per person/double occupancy plus $169.08 government taxes for an interior stateroom. If you've always wanted an opportunity to explore and enjoy Alaska, there will never be a better time than this summer, or a better trip than this Princess Cruisetour.
