There’s no other experience quite like sailing on the Royal Clipper. On the world’s largest fully-rigged sailing ship, you will have 42 sails overhead, driving the ship in a time-honored fashion, now nearly lost. Your cruise begins with a thrilling, late-evening departure: as crews handle the sails, stirring naval music provides exactly the right ambience.
Being on this ship often feels like being in a grand mansion. Your every desire is quickly satisfied by the friendly crew. Dining on a Star Clippers ship is always excellent. Because this is a European-owned company and guests are as often European as American, the menus for all three daily meals and snacks are fine continental fare, with a number of choices always offered. The rooms are large enough to accommodate two people comfortably and each has a marble-tiled, shower-equipped bathroom. Rooms for three or four people can be arranged.
Life off the ship includes both water sports and organized excursions. For those who love to snorkel or kayak, the equipment is freely offered and the sports-team crew members are there to assure your convenience and safety. For licensed divers, there are many opportunities to enjoy the underwater world. And for those who simply wish to relax in the sun, there are daily beach offerings as well as three small pools and a large number of lounge chairs on the top deck.
