Join us in Savannah during the best week of the year for the Savannah Tour of Homes & Gardens, for the annual Savannah Music Festival and for azaleas and spring flowers at their most spectacular.
The 77th annual Savannah Tour of Homes & Gardens features three days of home tours, seminars and lunch at Paula Deen’s famous Lady & Sons restaurant. Select the activities that most appeal to you and we’ll make all your arrangements. Perhaps you’ll want to attend a seminar such as “Antique Furniture 101” or a guided tour called “Preservation in Progress.” Or you may prefer a “Gardener’s Walking Tour” or an evening ride on the “Trolley Back in Time.” Refer to the attached brochure for a complete listing of tour offerings (available online at www.savannahtourofhomes.org/2012SavTourHomesBrochure.pdf).
The Savannah Music Festival offers a full range of musical experiences, from classical and jazz to bluegrass and zydeco. The 2012 schedule illustrates the scope of music and musicians presented -- see it at www.savannahmusicfestival.org.
Activities and sights that make Savannah such a popular destination year-round will be available for your exploration as well. Shop in the old market place or join a ghost tour of America’s most haunted city. Enjoy dinner on a riverboat or choose from one of the city’s many excellent restaurants.
TTC’s tour includes three nights in a comfortable room at Courtyard by Marriott hotel in the Historic District, one fine dinner, and transportation to and from Savannah as well as our services prior to and during the tour. We think that offering a wide choice of activities assures that each of our guests will enjoy every minute of his or her time in one of the South’s greatest cities. We will travel to Savannah by 55-passenger motor coach on Wednesday March 21, arriving in time for a group dinner that evening. Rhe next two days will be free for pursuing your interests. On Saturday March 24, we’ll depart in our coach in early afternoon for the return to New Bern. The trip is 6½ hours plus breaks for meals and stretching; we expect to return around 8:00 p.m.
The cost of the tour is $495 per person/double occupancy; add $275 for single occupancy. Tickets to all events and tours are optional and at additional cost.
